Hello everyone,
I am having trouble reviving a Game Stick Lite 4K that is stuck on the “Loading” screen. I have tried multiple firmware images and flashing methods, but none have worked so far.
Hardware Specs:
Board Markings: V1.0 M6_2024_02_22
Chip: MS RK032 (as per similar builds)
Internal ROM Version: V1.0.1 May 10 2024 (Visible when booting without SD card)
The Problem:
With SD Card: The stick hangs indefinitely on the “Loading” screen.
Without SD Card: Displays “Please check TF card” and shows version “V1.0.1 May 10 2024”.
What I have tried:
Firmware used: Restored a 64GB image labeled “M18 V1.1.0 Jun 25 2024”. Also tried generic M18 “stick+m18” files.
Tools: Flashed via BalenaEtcher, Rufus, Win32DiskImager, and USB Image Tool.
SD Cards: Tested on both a new 8GB and a 64GB card.
Formatting: Tried FAT32 with both 16KB and 32KB clusters.
Structure: Tried keeping files in _DATA root and moving them to the SD root.
Power: Always using a 5V/2A wall adapter (not TV USB).
Observations: When I flash the .bin firmware provided by some users for this board, the card appears unformatted/unreadable in Windows, but DiskGenius shows a Linux partition. Even with this, the stick still hangs at “Loading.”
It seems there is a mismatch between my internal ROM (May 10) and the SD firmware (June 25), or I am missing a specific boot partition/handshake file required for the M6 2024 revision.
Does anyone have a dump or a small ‘system-only’ image specifically for the V1.0.1 May 10 2024 internal ROM?
Thank you for any help!
